If orbital readings are even remotely close to reality, Ivaldi is one of the most habitable and perfect garden worlds in the entire galaxy. Yet, this facade serves to be little more than a rather alluring trap.
Every attempt to colonize or even investigate the planet has ended with the explorers disappearing or found dead on the opposite end of the galaxy months later. Its attractive and utterly misleading reputation granted the planet its Vobukian name, which roughly translates to "mirage" in English.
While not a single colonization attempt has been mounted by the galaxy at large in centuries and not even once by Humanity, the 14th century was marred with failed efforts to discover the planet's secrets. After enough failed expeditions, exploring the planet was declared strictly taboo by the Grand Alliance, and this restriction eventually carried over into the Intergalactic Assembly.
